Yes, we are answering phones and emails between 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. We will have a Optometrist available for urgent eyecare needs. Please call us at 413-584-6616 BEFORE coming to the office.

 

What Do I Need to Know Before Coming to my Visit?

If you have an appointment to come in for an urgent eyecare visits or to meet with an optician please follow the measures below:

  • All of our necessary patient paperwork in available at https://www.opticalstudioweb.com/forms. Please complete the Welcome Form, Medical History and Consent to Bill forms and email them to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. prior to your appointment.
  • Please let us know all of your eye care and eyewear related needs prior to your visit so we can reduce the time you are in the office.
  • Arrive for your scheduled time but remain outside of the building and call us at 413-584-6616 for assistance.
  • It is required by the Town of Northampton that all patients entering our building are wearing a face covering over their nose and mouth.
  • We are also performing a temperature screening for all patients and guests entering our office. 
  • We have hand sanitizer and soap and water available for use right inside our entryway.

 

What Can I Excpect During My Visit?

You will notice that a few things have changed since you last visited us!

  • Our entire staff will be wearing face masks and occasionally goggles and face shields when appropriate.
  • We will be spreading our appointments apart to make sure we can properly disinfect everything, though exam rooms will be rarely used more than once a day.
  • We are not allowing guest and visitors with scheduled patients unless they are a minor or require assistance.
  • Opticians will be handling the frames off of the displays so we can ensure they are disinfected before and after being displayed. 
  • We will have some physical barriers and breath guards on instrumentation throughout the office.

 

Can I Still Be Seen For My Routine Eye Exam?

We are continuing to defer all routine eye care. If you were scheduled for a routine eye examination appointment during our closure, we will contact you to reschedule your appointments when we are able to do so. If you have an upcoming appointment, please check your email as we are contacting patients daily to notify of canceled appointments.

 

I Need to Replace My Glasses. What do I do?

I’m Nearly out of Contact Lenses. What do I do? 

We may be able extend your prescription and place an order for your contact lenses which can be shipped direct to your home free of charge. I Need to Pick Up an Order. What do I do? 

Please call us at 413-584-6616 to schedule a time as we are allowing patients into the office by appointment only. We can bring your order out to your car for curbside pick-up if requested. We are also offering free shipping on all contact lens orders and a $10 shipping charge on eyeglass orders.

 

What about an eye emergency after your shortened business hours? What can I do? 

If you have an ocular emergency, please call us at 413-584-6616 and page a doctor on call. One of our Optometrists will be able to determine the best way to provide appropriate eye care.
